PSI’s political, diplomatic, and debate training is conducted by former professional actor and political speech coach Dr. Gary Genard.  As founder and president of Public Speaking International.  Dr. Genard consults for political candidates and officeholders, diplomatic staff and foreign ministries, state and federal agencies, and government entities worldwide.  He holds a Ph.D. in Theater with a concentration in speech from Tufts University, and also studied at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.  He is Professor of Public Speaking and Media Training in the Diplomatic Training Program at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.  Dr. Genard is the author of the book How to Give a Speech (Cedar & Maitland Press 2007), and has published widely on issues of public speaking and media appearance effectiveness.
