Your book How to Give a Speech is a really nice balance of information, humor, tips, and personality. It's easy to read and completely "hands-on." I'm now far more comfortable and confident in client pitches. I even wrote down the most helpful tips and stuck them on the wall next to my desk!"

Gary Genard, Ph.D. Founder and President, Public Speaking International

Gary Genard’s life and career paths have been shaped by performance. He’s been a singer, a rock-and-roll musician, a songwriter, an actor on the New York and London stages, and a performer in television, film, radio and on national tours. He completed his acting training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, and holds a Ph.D. in Theater from Tufts University in Massachusetts. Dr. Genard launched Public Speaking International in 2001 to share what he learned from his acting career with those who have a critical need to influence audiences. His methodology uses acting techniques to train clients for delivering audience-centered and memorable speeches, presentations, media interviews and other public appearances. He draws on these same methods to help clients suffering from debilitating speech anxiety to permanently overcome their stage fright. Dr. Genard remains dedicated to inspiring people from all walks of life to discover the power of their own voice and reach their full potential as communicators.

Dr. Genard is the author of How to Give A Speech (2007), and No More Stage Fright: An Actor’s Secrets to Eliminating Fear of Public Speaking and Performance Anxiety Forever (2011), and has published numerous articles on effective public speaking.
